New creations

Good morning world!!!!

Wow have I been having fun in the craft room, well umm let’s be honest my dining room! Yes I have a so called “craft room” but it is not the best place to create. Bad lighting, not comfortable, oh yes and let’s not forget the Creating table is a MESS! Well enough about my messy  messy craft room.

This is the reason for my blog today my new found creations

Christmas ornaments!!! Wow what fun these have been to create.

Choosing colors, picking a technique, making a mess…yes the mess is always the fun part!

All of these ornaments are glass and have been sealed so they will give you years of beauty for your tree. I also think they will make a great gift for anyone!

Playing in the craft room

Here I go again… Yep it’s me playing around with new creations!

Awhile back I saw some pretty glass pieces and thought hey how do they do that?? I knew it wasn’t vinyl cause it looked permanent. So again I was off th researching! Then I found it “glass etching”! This has been so much fun.

NI first started off with some small things just to see what I thought but then the fun began and I started creating more!

One of the best things about this is that I am using stencils that I make with my cricut. So needless to say I am enjoying a new craft with using a machine that I already had.  I am now starting to do words and can’t wait to see the possibilities.

My newest creations

Good Sunday morning!!

From time to time I like to add some different items to my shop. Some people feel that you should not do this because it messes with your branding! So I usually try to add things that go with my home decor theme!

This past week I started making banks from mason jars!!! This has been a lot of fun!

The first one is actually not a bank but an advice jar for a newly married couple. The other two are a great way to save some money and make a great gift for a child so they can also learn the process of “saving for a rainy day”.

I felt that the possibilities were endless with this new line but as usual I get on a roll then hit that huge road block!

So I have decided to reach out to all of you…what do you think would make a great idea for a bank???

Birthday fun

As parents we always are looking for that special birthday decoration for our child’s birthday!!!

I always used to go to the store and purchase lots of decorations that ended up in the trash after the party and then thought about what a waste of money it was later!!!

Home Decorating

Who doesn’t love to add some color and fun to their home???

When I first opened my Etsy shop it was all about wreaths but as time has went on I have added other types of home decor. Not everyone wants a wreath on their door so I had to branch out.

When I first started new ideas it was a lot of trial and error. What items would people want??? What kind of items would add color to your home without having to completely remodel or paint and entire room???

Centerpieces were my first big sellers next to my wreaths. My centerpieces are full of color and can be used in many places. At first I was thinking a dining room table. Well after doing some thinking I thought “hey, why not something for your coffee table or fireplace mantle.” So I began to adjust my listings to include coffee tables and mantle decor!

So if you are looking to add some color to any room of your home why not try a handmade centerpiece?? Add a candle to it, add a flower vase, or just use it alone! The possibilities are endless!
