Christmas Gifts

How many of you struggle with buying the right gift for some people?? I always enjoy giving gifts but sometimes some people are just more difficult to purchase for. Why?? Because finding just the right gift can be difficult!

I had those people in mind when I started creating these ceramic tile coasters. These coasters are great for anyone’s home decor. They can be used year around and will last a lifetime.

Each one of these are done individually by myself. Now I did NOT make the ceramic tiles of course but I did create the images and decorations on the top of each one.  So that makes them very unique.

What makes these another great idea is they will be delivered right to your doorstep. If you’re like me shopping from your home on your couch in your pjs makes shopping much more fun!

New creations

Good morning world!!!!

Wow have I been having fun in the craft room, well umm let’s be honest my dining room! Yes I have a so called “craft room” but it is not the best place to create. Bad lighting, not comfortable, oh yes and let’s not forget the Creating table is a MESS! Well enough about my messy  messy craft room.

This is the reason for my blog today my new found creations

Christmas ornaments!!! Wow what fun these have been to create.

Choosing colors, picking a technique, making a mess…yes the mess is always the fun part!

All of these ornaments are glass and have been sealed so they will give you years of beauty for your tree. I also think they will make a great gift for anyone!

Do you use candles

I have always loved lighting candles in my home especially in the Fall and Winter. There is always something special about the glow of a candle in a home especially when the days get shorter and cooler.

One thing I have always had an issue with was a nice candleholder to put these candles in. Yes, you can purchase different ones at the store but I wanted something more unique and different.

That was when I discovered glass etching. I was in love it gives a very cool glow when the  candle is lit and a great decoration even when it is not. Then I decided hey I want to add some color…so along came more experimenting!

The picture on the left is with color on the etching the picture on the right is just the glass etching!

Yay problem solved at least for now!!!

Beautiful Christmas Decor

I am in love with these new Christmas decorations I have been making! What a fun way to add a touch of Christmas to any candle!

All of these creations are made with glass etching. What makes glass etching so unique is the fact that it cannot be washed or peeled off! Imagine the years of beauty these candleholders can give.

Playing in the craft room

Here I go again… Yep it’s me playing around with new creations!

Awhile back I saw some pretty glass pieces and thought hey how do they do that?? I knew it wasn’t vinyl cause it looked permanent. So again I was off th researching! Then I found it “glass etching”! This has been so much fun.

NI first started off with some small things just to see what I thought but then the fun began and I started creating more!

One of the best things about this is that I am using stencils that I make with my cricut. So needless to say I am enjoying a new craft with using a machine that I already had.  I am now starting to do words and can’t wait to see the possibilities.

My newest creations

Good Sunday morning!!

From time to time I like to add some different items to my shop. Some people feel that you should not do this because it messes with your branding! So I usually try to add things that go with my home decor theme!

This past week I started making banks from mason jars!!! This has been a lot of fun!

The first one is actually not a bank but an advice jar for a newly married couple. The other two are a great way to save some money and make a great gift for a child so they can also learn the process of “saving for a rainy day”.

I felt that the possibilities were endless with this new line but as usual I get on a roll then hit that huge road block!

Birthday fun

As parents we always are looking for that special birthday decoration for our child’s birthday!!!

I always used to go to the store and purchase lots of decorations that ended up in the trash after the party and then thought about what a waste of money it was later!!!

New Toy for Creating

Wow I bought a used Cricut this past week and what fun I am having!!

I remember seeing the infomercial about 15 years ago for the Cricut and thought someday I will have one of those… Well that someday finally arrived and wow the fun I am having!!!

With this new helper I can now add a whole new category to my Etsy shop. It will still be decor just now party decor can be added as well as home decor!

This adorable bunting is perfect for any baby girl shower and what a great decoration for the nursery too.
